Brit tourist, 37, found dead in storm drain in Thai holiday hotspot Phuket after going missing on night out
On a Thai island, a British visitor was discovered dead in a storm drain.
Around nine in the morning on Wednesday, locals discovered the 37-year-old man face down in the sea.
Police and paramedics arrived rapidly and declared him dead at the site.
The Wiltshire, England, guy is thought to have been drinking by himself while on vacation with his family in Phuket.
His death is being investigated after his family informed police that he had not been seen since Tuesday night at 10 p.m.
Asia Pacific was informed by a source: “[He] was with his family. He was lodging at the Seaview Hotel in the Patong neighborhood when he arrived in Phuket on November 17.
“We had not been able to contact him since about 10 pm on Tuesday night.”
