British cyclist rushed to hospital and another treated on track after pair crash into CROWD in horrifying scenes

In a horrifying collision, Olympic champion Katy Marchant injured her arm; other riders and onlookers also required medical attention.

They both flew into onlookers at the top of the bank.

For thirty minutes, Marchant stayed on the ground, her husband Rob by her side the entire time.

After that, she was taken from the velodrome and taken to the hospital.

Later, it was reported that Marchant was in a “stable condition”.

Propster, 23, recovered better from the event; after receiving treatment for ten minutes, she was able to leave.

It was also believed that the four injured onlookers had escaped with relatively minor wounds and merely required on-scene care.

Later, cycling leaders stated that they were looking into the situation before determining what “appropriate action” to take.

After the incident, Eurosport went back to the velodrome to get an update from Adam Blythe, a trackside reporter.

The good news is that the GB rider [Marchant] is doing well, the former Sheffield professional rider informed the audience.

“She has got a broken forearm, but seems to be in a stable condition.”

In August, Marchant and the women’s sprint squad from squad GB won gold in Paris.

She had begun the year by winning the 500-meter time trial, making history as the first British woman to do it.
