Bronx Man Faces Murder Charges Following Housemate’s Fatal Shooting
NEW YORK – The NYPD reported that a Bronx man was accused and taken into custody on Saturday for the deadly shooting of a man he shared a home with the previous evening.
At 2:50 p.m., Brandon Austin, 29, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter, second-degree murder, and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

Marcus Henderson, 37, was discovered suffering from a gunshot wound to his right leg when police arrived at 1825 Topping Ave., close to East 176th Street, in the Mount Hope neighborhood, at 5:57 p.m. on Friday.

Authorities reported that when Henderson was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital, he was subsequently declared deceased.
By Friday night, authorities said, a person of interest was in custody.
Although it was first unclear how Austin and Henderson knew one another, police identified their addresses as the location of the incident.
