California MOTHER ACCUSED of Killing Daughter in Church Exorcism Shows NO REMORSE, Say Prosecutors

A woman suspected of killing her 3-year-old daughter during an exorcism inside a California church in 2021 has reportedly “never expressed remorse,” according to Santa Clara County prosecutors.

According to officials, Claudia Hernandez-Santos claimed her daughter, Arely Naomi Proctor, was possessed by a “demon” when she was tortured to death inside a small Pentecostal church in San Jose on September 24, 2021.

Rene Aaron Hernandez-Santos, Proctor’s uncle, and Rene Trigueros Hernandez, her grandfather, were both arrested in connection with her murder. Prosecutors suspect both were involved in the 12-hour exorcism in which Proctor was suffocated and strangled until he died of asphyxiation.

“She has shown no remorse for the violent assault she committed against Arely, and she does not believe that what she did was wrong,” Deputy District Attorney Rebekah Wise stated in court documents acquired by KRON.

According to investigators, Claudia chose and purchased a funeral outfit for Proctor while she was still alive.

According to court documents, Claudia decided her daughter had to die after seeing a vision from God telling her that (God) was going to Arely. She then told authorities that two weeks before Arely’s death, she had a vision of dropping her daughter off at the gates of paradise. “Claudia stated she thought, ‘All right, baby. “You have to leave,” court filings claimed.

Claudia allegedly told authorities on the day Arely died that she thought her daughter was possessed by demons because she would wake up in the middle of the night and scream and weep.

She told investigators she tried to induce vomiting by shoving her finger down the girl’s throat and squeezing her neck, according to prosecutors. According to investigators, no one called 911 for medical assistance or took any life-saving efforts.

The police were called one to two hours after the girl died. She suffered various injuries to her eyes, face, neck, and chest, according to officials.

Claudia has been in jail without bail for the past 30 months, awaiting trial.
