Calls for Travis Kelce to face major NFL punishment over controversial act following Mahomes touchdown in Chiefs-Bills
Following a Patrick Mahomes score in the AFC Championship game, NFL fans think Travis Kelce should face disciplinary action from the league.
The Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 32-29 on Sunday night, and the sequence happened at the end of the first half.
With 1:55 remaining in the second quarter, Mahomes carried it in for a one-yard rushing touchdown, giving the Chiefs a 21-10 lead.
But before Demar Hamlin could tackle the great quarterback, Kelce started mocking the Bills safety.
Cole Bishop of Buffalo urged Kelce to stand up for his friend, but the tight end remained near Hamlin’s face.
Jordan Phillip, a defensive lineman for the Bills, then rushed over and struck Kelce in the face.

The Chiefs enforced the 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Kansas City on the subsequent kickoff.
Following the tense moment just before halftime, the Chiefs would go on to win.
With only two receptions for 19 yards, Kelce had a quiet day by his standards.
In contrast, Mahomes had an outstanding game, recording two running touchdowns and 245 yards for a touchdown.
With a chance to become the first club to ever win three straight Super Bowls, Kansas City will make a comeback appearance.
