Catch Trending News ‘HERE!’ Two Florida Men Arrested For Stealing Over $34K Worth of Power Tools
Alpena County, Michigan — According to the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office, two males from Florida have been placed under arrest for allegedly stealing power tools valued at over $34,000 from numerous Home Depot shops.
The men’s identities are being kept under wraps until their arraignment.
Two men were accused of stealing “a large amount of power tools” from the Home Depot in Alpena at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
The man’s car was pursued by an employee “westbound on M-32 until it reached the area of Indian Reserve Rd,” after which the “employee discontinued,” according to the sheriff’s office.

When the car was eventually found by the authorities in Green Township near Jacks Landing Road on M-32, both guys were taken into custody.
According to the sheriff’s office, power equipment valued at $34,960 that had been pilfered from six Home Depot locations in Michigan was found during a vehicle check.
In addition, authorities found $2,200 worth of products that had been taken from the Saginaw T.J. Maxx.
Both males are being held at the Alpena County Jail on accusations of receiving and concealing stolen merchandise valued at more than $20,000, in addition to first-degree retail fraud.
