CEO murder suspect Luigi Mangione’s best friend breaks her silence on ‘blindsiding’ arrest as ghost gun found
The best friend of shooting suspect Luigi Mangione has spoken out about the guy detained in relation to the murder of Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare.
Tracy Le, a New York-based data analyst and the suspect’s friend, was “shaken” and “blindsided” by the experience.
On Monday, Mangione, 26, was taken into custody at a McDonald’s while in possession of a scribbled manifesto, silencer, and ghost pistol.
Le described how shocked she was in a long Instagram tribute.
“I think Luigi Mangione is the most Googled term right now,” she stated.
“When I first saw the news, I was hoping it was just either a common name or a mistake.”
Le described how her best friend and closest confidante had been Mangione.
“Because for a while it was the only name whose FaceTime calls I would answer,” she continued. One of my greatest, closest, and most reliable pals was Luigi.
He was the most popular person in my group chat, “Tracey’s Favorites.”
