Christmas Eve tragedy as two drivers are killed in horror lorry crash forcing major road to close
A collision on the A15 in Lincolnshire has claimed the lives of two truck drivers.
According to police, the two men, both 51, were operating lorries when they crashed on Tuesday morning close to the Snitterby intersection, which is north of Caenby Corner.
According to a Lincolnshire Police statement, one of the males was from the South Yorkshire town of Barnsley, while the other was from the northeast Lincolnshire town of Cleethorpes.
No names have been given to the men.
According to the force, the collision was reported Tuesday at 9.33 a.m.
“Officers attended following the collision near the Snitterby junction, which involved a Volvo lorry and a Scania lorry,” added the statement.
“Sadly, the drivers of both lorries were pronounced dead at the scene.”
On Tuesday afternoon, the road was still blocked off.
