Cold temperatures kick off new year in metro Detroit alongside passing flurries
With highs in the upper 30s today, there won’t be many snow showers. Getting cooler this weekend and toward the end of the week!
(FOX 2):Although there were some snow-covered roadways on Thursday morning due to yesterday’s snow showers, the cold is taking center stage today with only a few light snowflakes.
Wind chills will be in the teens for the majority of the day due to the overcast and windy conditions.
With little possibility of snow over the next three days, the cold just gets worse from here.
Although the extreme cold isn’t breaking any records, it is a noticeable stretch. We’ve only had two days with temperatures in the 20s straight this season, but we’re about to have more than a week of them.
