‘Coming Soon!’ Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada’s New Childcare Center
Carson City, Nevada – In August, the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada intends to launch a brand-new creche.
The Carson City School District is a partner in their second Smart Start Centre. It will be housed inside the Student Services Building behind Bordewich Bray Elementary School at 710 W. 4th Street and known as the Thompson Centre Smart Start.
Sixty youngsters, ranging in age from five to nine months, will be served. Priority enrollment and reduced tuition for their children are benefits offered to Carson City District employees and instructors.
“In a state where childcare capacity is steadily declining, CCSD is thrilled to collaborate with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada to enhance community childcare capacity.
According to Carson City School District Superintendent Andrew J. Feuling, “partnering with BGCWN to provide this service on-site to all CCSD employees becomes an important tool for retention and recruitment of staff to assure we can continue to provide a high level of educational service to our students and community.”

The facility is scheduled to open on August 14 after renovations start on June 10.
