Conor McGregor breaks silence & vows to appeal after jury finds MMA fighter DID assault woman in hotel

A civil court jury found Conor McGregor guilty of assaulting a woman in a hotel room in Dublin, and McGregor has stated that he will appeal the decision.

Following a Christmas night out in December 2018, Nikita Hand accused the 36-year-old Irish mixed martial arts athlete of “brutally raping and battering” her.

The Irish athlete, who came to court with his lover Dee Devlin, said he had sex with Ms. Hand at the Beacon Hotel with her consent.

However, a jury in McGregor’s civil lawsuit found him guilty of assaulting Ms. Hand today.

He is required to provide her over 250,000 euros, or 207k.

Disgraced McGregor left the courthouse today without saying anything, but he has since spoken out about X.

“I will be appealing today’s decision,” he wrote.

“The low award and the judge’s order were for assault, not for exemplary or aggravated damages.

“I regret that not all of the evidence that the DPP examined was presented to the jury.

Now that I’m with my family, I’m thinking about the future. I appreciate all of your help around the world.

After the jury’s verdict, his partner Dee Devlin was spotted sobbing as she left the courtroom.

When the jury, which deliberated for six hours and ten minutes, declared that Ms. Hand had prevailed in her case against him, McGregor shook his head.

Ms. Hand, 35, also known as Nikita Ni Laimhin, claimed that she was severely injured and afflicted with PTSD as a result of the attack following a night of partying.

She made a statement to the courthouse, her voice shaking, stating that although she would never forget what had happened to her, she would finally be able to move on with her life.

She expressed gratitude to her daughter in particular, as well as to her spouse, friends, family, and all the supporters who had contacted her online.

Mother-of-one Ms. Hand filed a lawsuit against McGregor and James Lawrence, claiming that after an afterparty fueled by cocaine and booze, the two “brutally raped and battered” her in a hotel penthouse.

Both said the sex was consensual and refuted her accusations.

McGregor told the court that the sex was “enthusiastic and athletic” and called Ms. Hand’s claim that he had raped her “lies.”

Pictures of the complainant’s body injuries taken in the days following the alleged assault were provided to the cage fighter.

McGregor disputed that he was responsible for the bruises, stating that they “possibly came from her diving into the bath” when Ms. Hand’s attorney, John Gordon, cross-examined him.

However, Mr. Gordon brought up the medical evidence regarding Ms. Hand’s severe bruising with the jury.

Additionally, Ms. Hand’s attorney brought attention to the fact that she had to have a tampon taken out of her using forceps when she went to the hospital following the alleged rape.

“The liar here is McGregor, who lacks the decency or the courage to own up to what he did,” Mr. Gordon stated.

“He’s not a man, he’s a devious coward and you should treat him for what he is.”

Mr. Gordon added, “To put it this way: somebody did it,” in reference to the bruises on Ms. Hand’s body. The Beacon Hotel is where it took place. McGregor was the one.

Eight women and four men made up the jury, which found McGregor guilty of assaulting Ms. Hand today.

She accused James Lawrence of assaulting her by reportedly having intercourse with her at the same hotel without her consent, but she lost her case against him.
