Conor McGregor DROPPED by huge video game brand with immediate effect after he was found to have assaulted woman

Following the decision in his civil rape lawsuit, video game maker IO Interactive has DROPPED CONOR MCGREGOR.

Last Thursday, the UFC star was convicted guilty of assaulting Nikita Hand at the Beacon Hotel in Dublin in December 2018.

Despite his strong denials, McGregor, 36, was accused of “raping and battering” Ms. Hand.

Additionally, the producers of the popular Hitman video game series, IO Interactive, ended their association with the Irishman as a result of the High Court of Dublin’s decision.

Hitman’s official X account released the following statement: “IO Interactive has decided to stop working with Conor McGregor, effective immediately, due to the latest court ruling.

“We cannot overlook the ramifications of this issue and take it extremely seriously.

“Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our storefronts starting today.”

Following last week’s decision, IO Interactive became the first company to openly sever ties with McGregor, a character in the video game “Hitman: World of Assassination.”

McGregor, the former two-weight world champion, has been ordered to compensate Ms. Hand with 206,000 (or 250,000) dollars.

After just over six hours of deliberation, the jury found “The Notorious” guilty of attacking Ms. Hand. He shook his head and then buried it in his hands.

In December 2018, the 36-year-old was charged with “brutally raping and battering” Nikita Hand.

He will now be required to reimburse Ms. Hand for damages of 248,603.60 euros.

McGregor has promised to appeal even after he lost his case.

There are now questions about the Irishman’s future in MMA and the UFC. Since he was halted against Dustin Poirier in July 2021 due to a broken leg, he has not been in the octagon.

Chisanga Malatahad, SunSport’s lead MMA reporter, has the following thoughts on the matter.

“The decision, which was rendered in a civil court rather than a criminal court, has likely caused the UFC its most significant setback in its 31-year history. Now, MMA leaders will need to make a big choice regarding their poster boy.

“In my opinion, he fights once more. It’s not the first time. Take a look at Jake Paul’s opponent from last week.

“Of course, I’m referring to Mike Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight champion who was incarcerated for rape in the 1990s. After coming out, he had a prosperous career that earned him millions and millions of pounds till he retired in 2005.

“Unfortunately, it has been done before. However, the UFC must now make a crucial choice. I believe he fights again, as I mentioned. I believe they follow the strategy that was revealed at the UFC 309 post-fight press conference last week, which calls for him to compete in late 2025.

“Even if something of this size can never, ever go away, it’s possible that they chose late 2025 in case McGregor’s side of the case doesn’t win and to give them some time to move on.

“Unless Dana White and all the investors make a spectacular choice and fire their poster boy, I think McGregor will fight again. However, I don’t think that will happen, and I do think he will return to the octagon in the latter part of next year.

“The UFC will need to answer questions, and with good reason. However, more so of Mr. McGregor himself.

He promised to appeal the X judgment soon after, but he declined to talk to the media as he and his fiancée, Dee Deviln, left the courtroom.

“I will be appealing today’s decision,” he wrote.

“The low award and the judge’s order were for assault, not for exemplary or aggravated damages.

“I regret that not all of the evidence that the DPP examined was presented to the jury.

“I am currently with my family and concentrating on my future.

“Thank you to all my support worldwide.”

Since injuring his left leg during his trilogy match against Dustin Poirier in July 2021, McGregor has not entered the UFC octagon.
