Mr. McGregor denied creating the injuries during cross-examination by Ms. Hand’s attorney, John Gordon, stating that they “possibly came from her diving into the bath.”

However, Mr. Gordon brought up the medical evidence regarding Ms. Hand’s severe bruising with the jury.

Additionally, Ms. Hand’s attorney brought attention to the fact that she had to have a tampon taken out of her using forceps when she went to the hospital following the alleged rape.

“The liar here is Mr. McGregor, who lacks the decency or the courage to own up to what he did,” Mr. Gordon stated.

“He’s not a man, he’s a devious coward and you should treat him for what he is.”

Mr. Gordon added, “To put it this way: somebody did it,” in reference to the bruises on Ms. Hand’s body. The Beacon Hotel is where it took place. Mr. McGregor was the one.
