Consumers hit with higher prices at the supermarket and utilities as latest inflation rate shows 0.3% increase

According to recent inflation data, consumers are spending more on electricity and groceries.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Wednesday that inflation increased little in November.

The average change in prices that consumers pay for products and services over time is measured by the Consumer Price Index, or CPI.

In comparison to November 2023, the prices of goods and services have increased by 2.7%.

According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the CPI rose 0.3% in November compared to October, which is consistent with what experts had predicted.
