Cooper Kupp makes major decision over NFL retirement putting LA Rams future in huge doubt
Although Cooper Kupp is not yet prepared to retire from competition, his time with the Los Angeles Rams may be coming to an end.
After a “frustrating” year, the 31-year-old denied rumors that he was planning to retire.
The Rams lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 28–22 in the Divisional Round of the playoffs this season due to Kupp’s struggles with injuries and an inefficient offense.
“I feel like I’ve got a lot of good football left in me,” the wide receiver said, indicating that he is not given up on winning the Super Bowl a second time.
“Next year, I’ll be playing football. I am aware of that.
Although Kupp has two more years left on his Rams contract, a trade has been discussed.

Although a pre-June 1 cut would save the organization $7.52 million on the salary limit, he is guaranteed $5 million in 2025.
Kupp responded to the leave rumors by saying, “You never know what’s going to happen. I have no influence over that; we’ll have to wait and see.
“I’m not entirely sure what that will look like or anything like that.
“So yeah, obviously would love to be in LA – but I don’t know what that’s going to look like.”
“We should be better than the product we’re putting out there in terms of the production and the points that are being scored,” Kupp continued while discussing the Rams’ season-long performances.
Personally, I’m enjoying playing football and feeling good about it.
However, it’s not showing up in terms of production. There are many things that are beyond my control. It’s annoying.
Kupp’s colleagueFollowing the loss to the Eagles, Matthew Stafford stated, “As far as my future goes, it’s 30 minutes after the last game so I’ll take some time to think about it.” Stafford is reportedly considering retirement.
