Cotton Bowl forced to release statement as severe weather threatens CFP between Texas Longhorns and Ohio State
The site of the next Cotton Bowl is predicted to see INCLEMENT weather.
Just before the Cotton Bowl begins, AT&T Stadium in Arlington is preparing for severe winter weather.
In what should be one of the season’s best games, the Texas Longhorns will play Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinals.
Which club advances to the National Championship matchup against Notre Dame or Penn State will be determined by Friday night’s Cotton Bowl.
Winter weather could, however, have a negative effect on spectators who are traveling to the game.
The main problem may be entering the stadium, even though AT&T is an indoor venue and weather won’t effect gaming.

Before kickoff, below-freezing weather and maybe snow are predicted for North Texas.
The Cotton Bowl issued a statement about the forthcoming game in light of this threat.
“We are routinely monitoring weather reports and we are in close contact with AT&T Stadium and local officials,” read the statement.
“Plans for bad weather are always in place. We will notify everyone attending and involved in this year’s Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic if circumstances call for it.
Additionally, college football analyst Ari Wasserman warned spectators that the game would be “absolute s*** show.”
“Just a PSA to anyone coming to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl on Friday: the weather in this city is going to be an absolute s*** show,” he wrote on X.
“This city doesn’t deal well with snow, and they are already discussing the possibility of a lot of snow on Thursday or Friday.
“Something to look out for.”
Scottie Rodgers, vice president of communications for the Cotton Bowl, clarified that people will be comfortable once they enter the stadium and that there probably won’t be a need to move the game.
“We’re routinely looking at the weather like everyone is now, and talking with our friends at the stadium and local authorities and just monitoring the situation,” he stated.
You are aware that we always have a backup plan, and that’s necessary when organizing events such as these.
