Cyclist Sara Piffer killed aged 19 in horror road accident before her dad makes incredible gesture to driver who hit her
During a training ride, a teenage cyclist lost their life in a terrifying traffic accident.
An incoming vehicle crossed the road from the opposite side and collided with 19-year-old Sara Piffer, killing her.
Near her home in Trentino, northern Italy, Piffer and her brother went for a ride when the tragedy happened. Multiple witnesses confirmed the crash’s facts to the police.
Police are looking into a case of vehicular homicide involving a 70-year-old man who struck and killed her.
According to reports, the sun made it difficult for the driver to see her. Piffer died from her injuries after being flown to the hospital.
However, in a startling move, Lorenzo’s father has declared his forgiveness for the driver.

His son Christian, who was out with Priffer at the time of the crash, made the plea.
“My son Christian hugged me after the accident and said, ‘Dad, please forgive him,'” Lorenzo recounted. Because I believe that he is also hurting at the moment.
Thus, I made the decision to pardon him. After then, justice will be served.
Lorenzo also mentioned that his daughter was “always careful” when driving on what he subsequently referred to as a “Wild West” route.
According to reports, Christian tragically informed his father over the phone after the collision that “Sara is not breathing”.
“Dad, we always pay attention, it’s the others who don’t pay attention to us,” Piffer reportedly stated to Lorezno before leaving. And regrettably, it was the situation.
The passing of Piffer, who was reportedly athletic and creative and who loved painting and sculpting, has shocked the neighborhood, and tributes are flooding in.

Piffer, a member of the Mendelspeck Continental women’s team, placed fourth in a team time trial event at the Italian National Championships, and won the Under-23 Giornata Nazionale Rosa – GP Citt di Corridonia in 2024.
Fortunately, Christian was just slightly hurt in the event.
“I heard a noise, looked back, and ran to my sister, but I was powerless to stop it,” he claimed. I was initially upset with the driver, but then I noticed that they were embarrassed and afraid.
Lorenzo also emphasized how the town’s roadways had become unmanageable.
“I think we need more common sense,” he remarked. Regretfully, they always discover it too late. Perhaps they risked the lives of others to save that minute. On the roadways, I see things growing worse.
Today was Piffer’s funeral.
