Dallas Cowboys fans urge Jerry Jones to sell team and take up Hollywood career after acting appearance on hit TV show
Jerry Jones received a message from Dallas Cowboys supporters following his appearance on a recent television show.
GMJones and The Cowboysowner made an appearance in a Landman episode on the streaming service Paramountt+.
Jones, 82, was in a scene with Jomm and Billy Bob Thornton, who showed up seated on a hospital bed with tubes near his nose.
Jones portrayed himself and gave an engaging two-minute monologue on his other enterprises and how he included his kids with the NFL club.
“You’re gonna be sitting here sometime in thefuture, laying here sometime in the future and more than likely your children andfamilyare gonna be there because they’re your children and your family,” Jones said Hamm’s character.
However, since these are the individuals you have spent your entire life with, you may have them there.

Cowboys fans on X have asked Jones to sell the team, which had a 7-9 record this season and missed the playoffs, and pursue a career in Hollywood after the scene went viral on social media.
“Jones ought to leave the Cowboys and pursue acting full-time. “I’m serious,” someone wrote.
“Jerry Jonesmight suck as an owner, but he might have a future as an actor,” someone else said.
“Please become an actor Jerry and let me be the owner and GM,” wrote another.
Jones hadn’t acted in more than ten years until his part in Landman.
According to IMDB, the longstanding owner has five further acting credits, including roles in three ArliSS episodes from 1996–2000, two Entourage episodes from 2010, and The League in 2012.
In addition, Jones appeared in an episode of Cubed in 2011 and Coach in 1996.
Jones has had a difficult season with the Cowboys since quarterback Dak Prescotto suffered a season-ending injury in November.
After winning the division with a 12-5 record the previous season, the team finished third in the NFC East.
Jones would not commit to head coach Mike McCarthy for the 2025 season after the Cowboys lost to the Washington Commanders in the final regular season game on Sunday.
Nevertheless, following the Week 18 game, Jones commended McCarthy’s head coaching skills, as he has done throughout the season.
Jones stated, “Mike is one of the best coaches that I think there is,” according to CBS Sports.
“I believed that, thus he was appointed coach here.
“He hasn’t done anything to make me think less of him as a coach, and I’m quite impressed with how the players relate to and identify with him.
That’s significant because he has experienced moments when neither the team nor any of those guys have been enjoyable.
“He’s been there for them.”
Next Monday, McCarthy’s contract will expire.
