Dan Orlovsky raises eyebrows on First Take after Stephen A. Smith makes bold Kansas City Chiefs declaration

STEPHEN A. Smith has dropped his latest NFL bold opinion on First Take.

According to the First Take star, the Kansas City Chiefs will take home their first loss this weekend.

The Chiefs are facing off against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, and Stephen A. is predicting that Josh Allen can snap Patrick Mahomes’ undefeated streak.

When asked by Molly Qerim about if the Chiefs will get their first loss against the Bills, Stephen A. laid out his reasonings.

“I believe so,” he said.

“I’m not predicting that anybody is going to go 16-0, and obviously I think I can say this is the toughest game left on the Kansas City Chiefs’ schedule.

“Not only are you going up against a Buffalo Bills team that is 8-2, that has looked better than any of us had anticipated, that has an MVP-caliber player at the quarterback position.

“You’re also on the road in Buffalo okay, and Josh Allen is 0-3 in playoff competitions against Patrick Mahomes although he’s won three of the four regular season encounters going up against him.”

While Stephen A. thinks the Bills will pull out an upset win over the Chiefs, he doesn’t think it will slow Kansas City down for the rest of the season.

“I’m going to pick the Buffalo Bills to win this game,” Stephen A. continued.

“I think this is the one loss on the Chiefs’ record. I think they’ll probably go 16-1 as opposed to 17-0.

“But that’s just where I’m at with it.”

While Stephen A. is rooting against the Chiefs, many fans spoke out against his pick on social media.

“He been saying chiefs will lose every week,” one fan said.

“Don’t bet against them!” another fan said.

“This can only mean that the Chiefs are winning,” a third fan said.

“I would go as far as to say it’s more likely they win by double digits than lose,” a fourth fan said.

First Take viewing figures

First Take went from strength to strength under the guidance of Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim last year.

The weekday ESPN debate show averaged 496,000 viewers in 2023 – making it the most-watched year in program history.

Its December average of 611,000 was a 24% year-on-year increase compared to 2022.

The show also reported more than 250 million views on YouTube.

First Take was helped by the addition of Shannon Sharpe alongside Smith and Qerim after he left Fox Sports’ Undisputed.

“We gone see…” a fifth fan said.

It is going to be a tall task for the Bills to win the game against the Chiefs on Sunday, as they are dealing with some big injuries.

Tight end Dalton Kincaid has already been ruled out of the contest, and he is one of Allen’s favorite targets.
