Dan Orlovsky screams ‘what do you want him to do?’ at Shannon Sharpe in heated First Take debate about NFL strugglers

The most recent episode of First Take included a memorable argument between Dan Orlovsky and Shannon Sharpe.

On the popular ESPN program, the retired NFL players are accustomed to exchanging verbal insults, many of which have gone viral on social media.

Yet, their most recent on-air altercation was possibly the largest they have ever had.

The most recent flashpoint was the Cincinnati Bengals’ 44-38 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, especially Joe Burrow’s role in the loss.

“You mean to tell me you’re pinning yesterday on Joe?” Orlovsky asked in shock when Sharpe laid the responsibility at Burrow’s feet.

Midway through Sharpe’s statement, Orlosvky attempted to interrupt, which elicited a furious reaction.

“No,” Sharpe said, “don’t say Shannon. They gave me a name badge and everything, so I know what my name is.”

An enraged While Sharpe criticized the Bengals’ star quarterback, Orlovsky defended his teammate Burrow.

“All I’m saying is if you know your defence is porous the one thing you can’t do is not turn the ball over!” Sharpe added as the argument heated up.

The astonished Orlovsky yelled and gestured, “Shannon, what do you want him to do?” in response.

Sharpe went on to say: “I’m saying is this: had he not given the Steelers ten points, they would have won the ball game.”

“No, they don’t!” Orlovsky answered. “He’s got to score 40!”

Orlovsky continued: “Shannon, there is no way that you can sit here realistically and think that Joe Burrow didn’t play well enough again yesterday to clearly win thefootballgame.”

Sharpe refused to back down, claiming that Burrow received “more mileage for going to the Super Bowland losing” than any other player and that he scolded Peyton Manning for his poor performance.

Co-hostsMolly Querim and Stephen A. Smith did nothing but observe Orlovsky and Sharpe’s sparring.

When video of the two’s most recent heated argument went viral on X, American football fans immediately sided with Orlovsky.

“Shannon’s just there to disagree and create an argument,” one person wrote.

“There s nothing valid to what he s saying.”

“Shannon is Joe Burrow’s, Skip Bayless,” another person stated.

Another person said, “Burrow is not the reason the Bengals are losing.”

Someone said: “Burrow is the best QB in the NF right now unfortunately on a bad squad.”

Another person added: “Dan-O is correct. Burrow bears the least responsibility for the Bengals’ struggles.

Some, on the other hand, supported Sharpe; one said: “Shannon destroyed him with this one.”
