Deal with EU on youth mobility scheme IS on the cards, Labour MP says

According to a senior Labour MP, a deal with the EU over youth free movement is imminent.

Calls for a youth mobility program, according to Stella Creasy, were pressing for an open door.

She claimed that both the European Commission and the British Government were very interested in it.

The good news is that it is being debated, Ms. Creasy informed a Labour group that supports Europe.

It’s obvious that there has been movement and negotiation there. We are thus pressing for an open door.

However, Priti Patel, the shadow foreign secretary, accused Labour of attempting to unravel Brexit.

According to her, Keir Starmer is attempting to dissect Brexit at every chance he gets. Labour can try to deny it all they want, but the entire nation can see what their true strategy is.

From the Chagos Islands to inflation-busting pay increases for its union friends, Labour has given up in every negotiation they have ever engaged in, and this one is obviously not going to be any different.

The Conservatives will not allow them to use the back door to reintroduce us into the EU. We’ll hold them responsible.

Brussels has long called for a youth mobility or experience program that would allow under-30s to live, work, and study anywhere in the UK and the EU.

“I was in Brussels last week, and I can definitely confirm that this is one of the topics that people want to talk to you about,” Ms. Creasy continued.

During a briefing for the Labour Movement for Europe this month, she made the remarks.

According to sources, the number of MPs that belong to the group has surpassed that of Tory MPs.

The group’s chair, Ms. Creasy, maintains that they are working to save our relationship rather than hatch a plan to re-join the EU.

The Walthamstow MP has been suggested as a possible Labour candidate for London’s mayoralty.

In response to a question regarding rejoining, she said: The truth is that even if Europe were open to the idea, the process of rejoining would take ten years.

To be honest, a whole generation of youth lacks ten years to engage in negotiations.

They depend on us to take action right away in order to save something for them and ensure their future. A youth mobility program is also a place to start.

“There are no plans for a Youth Mobility Scheme and we will not return to freedom of movement,” a government spokesperson stated.
