We know:
Benjamin Nevers got into a gunfight with a man who broke into his North Brookside home, and the horrific incident was captured on tape.
His words, “My foot completely shattered,” “They have screws and plates, immediate surgery, and then I got hit in the back right here as well.”
According to Benjamin, his girlfriend was also shot while she was resting in the bed behind him.
She was wounded in the back, and the bullet moved up and struck her kidney. I believe it is currently trapped in her chest, and they are unable to remove it because it is too risky. “I am aware that they are keeping an eye on her, and it will be a few more days,” he stated.
He said that after returning from a trip to the Bahamas with a buddy, he was hoping for a peaceful evening when two suspects were caught on security footage entering through a kitchen window and hanging around the residence.
At gunpoint, his friend was restrained in the living room.
After waking up, I was able to quickly grab my gun and cock it before just sitting there and waiting. He remarked, “I knew they were coming to my room.”
The gunfight started as soon as the shooter entered. Ben is shot on camera as he fires his weapon at the suspect who is not on screen.
Later, the wounded suspect was seen stumbling out of the residence on an exterior camera.
Phillip Price, who is currently facing accusations of assault with intent to murder, armed robbery, and other offenses as part of a 21-count indictment, was identified by detectives after police captured the alleged gunman.
“The bag that they tried to get was right there and there was a bottle of Don Julio in it and a chocolate bar and then there was a studio microphone that I have like these guys did this for nothing,” Ben continued. “I’m just relieved that everyone is still alive and well. The fact that the person who shot me is still alive makes me happy. I don’t wish to murder anyone.
