DEATH INVESTIGATION! Beardstown Police, Illinois State Police Probe Suspicious Incident
BEARDSTOWN, Ill.- After the body of a single individual was discovered inside a vehicle near Beardstown, Illinois, the Illinois State Police are currently investigating the death.
At about 7:17 in the morning on May 31st, the Beardstown Police Department responded to a 911 call that was placed at a residence located in the 1400 block of Clay Street in Beardstown. This information was provided by ISP.
Upon arrival, members of the Beardstown Police Department and the Cass County Sheriff’s Department discovered a deceased male inside a vehicle that was found close to the property.
An investigation into a death that appears to be suspicious was requested by the Beardstown Police Department. The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 4 and the Division of Forensic Services Crime Scene Investigators were tasked with conducting the investigation.
The personnel in charge of law enforcement have stated that there are no known safety concerns for the community in relation to the incident.
Within the city of Springfield, Illinois, an autopsy was carried out on the first of June.
The results of the autopsy and the toxicology results, which are still waiting, could take many weeks, according to ISP.
