Deion Sanders one-word statement over Titans firing GM which could affect where son Shedeur ends up at NFL Draft
DEION Sanders posted a straightforward response to Tuesday’s termination of Tennessee Titans general manager Ran Carthon.
There is currently conjecture that the Titans’ choice on Tuesday may have an impact on where Deion’sson, Shedeur Sanders, the anticipated top NFLDraft pick, ends up in the professional league come April.
Following a disastrous 3–14 season, the Titans made the decision to terminate Carthon.
The franchise has decided to keep head coach Brian Callahan on board, and Chad Brinker, president of football operations, will be in charge of hiring new players and making roster changes.
The Colorado Buffaloes head coach Sanders posted a statement on the news a few minutes after Tennesee revealed the deals.
He wrote “WOW!” on X, accompanied by a side-eye emoji.

The move seemed to take Sanders by surprise.
He is the coach of Travis Hunter, who could be selected with the first overall pick, and his son Shedeur.
Because of their terrible campaign, the Titans also happen to have the first overall pick.
Under Carthon’s leadership, Tennesee had a 9–25 record.
After two seasons of unsatisfactory performance from 2023 second-round pick Will Levis, the team is in the position to draft a quarterback.
However, NFL expert Benjamin Allbright said earlier this week that the Titans were “rumored to love Cam Ward” as their decision, which is problematic for the father-son team of Sanders.
Ward, a Miami Hurricanes product, just had a season in which he caught seven interceptions and threw 39 passing touchdowns.
Shedeur, who is 21 years old, was also effective, passing for 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
However, Carthon’s successor will make the final decision.
When Callahan was the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, who had the first overall pick in 2020, he experienced a similar circumstance.
Among other players, the Bengals would select wide receiver sensation Tee Higgins and Joe Burrow.
However, Callahan probably won’t have much time to figure things out.

Following what appeared to be a power struggle with Mike Vrabel, who desired more control over personnel, Tennessee sided with Carthon last season.
A year after firing Vrabel with a.545 winning percentage, the team has now sacked their general manager.
