Deion Sanders sends clear message after Travis Hunter’s amazing Colorado Buffaloes performance and son Shedeur’s record
According to DEION SANDERS, Travis Hunter’s outstanding efforts against the Oklahoma State Cowboys “clinched” him the Heisman Trophy.
In their final regular season game on Friday, the Colorado Buffalo smashed the Cowboys 52-0, and Hunter was once again the hero.
With the versatile wide receiver and cornerback playing the majority of Colorado’s snaps on both offense and defense this season, Hunter has been a clear favorite for the Heisman all year.
And after last night’s performance, he did no harm in making sure he joined the likes of Jayden Daniels, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow in taking home the prize.
On offense, the two-way talent caught 10 passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns.
While playing defense, he recorded one tackle, two deflected passes, and an interception.

That performance was sufficient for head coach Sanders to assert that he had won the Heisman Trophy.
“I think Travis clinched the Heisman with his performance,” he stated following the win.
Adding: “He’s the best college football player; you’ve never seen it before.”
“Travis Hunter demonstrated today—and every day since—that he is the best college football player.
“That’s him. Everyone will be able to know who he is because of his draft position. Most likely, he will be selected first or second overall in the draft.
“Dude, Travis is that guy. He’s him. No one can handle him on either side of the ball, can they?
Although there is still competition, Hunter is currently the clear favorite to take home the coveted honor for college football’s greatest player.
Hunter is still the clear favorite to win, but Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward and Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty are both still in the running.
A teammateHunter is a clear favorite to win the honor, according to Shedeur Sanders, coach Sanders’ son.
“At this point, there is no argument,” he remarked. His consistency is incredible, and it is the main reason for the prize.
Shedeur Sanders, the quarterback, also had a memorable night as he shattered Colorado’s all-time passing record for a single season.
The 22-year-old broke the previous record of 3,527 passing yards at the end of the regular season with 3,926 yards, having won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award prior to the game.
The Buffaloes finished the season with a 9-3 record after Sanders threw for an incredible 438 yards and five touchdowns on Friday.
