Deion Sanders sends clear message to Bill Belichick after ex-Patriots coach was unveiled for new college football job
DEION Sanders talked candidly on Bill Belichick’s appointment as UNC football’s head coach.
The coach of the Colorado Buffaloeshead gave his thoughts on the former New England Patriots star’s incredible arrival at college this week.
On Wednesday, Belichick, who worked in the media for the majority of 2024, agreed to a five-year contract with North Carolina.
After 20 years of coaching in the NFL with the Patriots, where he won six Super Bowls, the 72-year-old will make his debut appearance in the collegiate football scene.
On social media, NFL legend Sanders expressed his support for Belichick’s choice.

Belichick’s appointment to UNC is comparable to Sanders’s appointment at Colorado in 2023.
Both were well-known individuals seeking to launch projects.
The Buffaloes program that Sanders joined has only had one season with ten or more wins since 2001.

Sanders and the Colorado team finished 9-3 after being 4-8 in his debut season, and they played a significant role in the Big 12 race right up until the last weekend.
Taking over a UNC squad that lost their best coach, Mack Brown, will be a difficult challenge for Belichick.
“I am thrilled to be at UNC-Chapel Hill,” Belichick said in a press release.
“I loved the college football days I spent growing up with my dad.
“I have always wanted to coach in college and now I look forward to building the football program in Chapel Hill.”
From 1953 until 1955, Belichick’s father was employed at North Carolina as an assistant.
