According to an Aurora Police Department source who spoke to the Associated Press, Craig, who is currently incarcerated, allegedly attempted to persuade an inmate to murder an officer who is looking into the possible murder case.

The dentist now faces six charges in total as a result of the additional fees.

The start date of Craig’s murder trial is still undetermined.

According to court documents, Angela, a mother of six, visited the hospital three times in March of last year before passing away.

Craig is accused of adding poison to her protein shakes.

On March 6, he allegedly gave his wife a shake, which caused her to get lightheaded.

When she started to feel faint, Craig took her to the hospital.

According to People, Angela told her husband that she felt drugged in text exchanges that police were able to view.

Craig, however, made it clear that he did not use drugs on his wife.

According to court documents, Craig allegedly ordered a hazardous plant extract the same day, but FedEx intercepted it, so it never arrived.

On March 14, Angela was released from the hospital, but she returned the following day.

James Craig case

DENTIST In relation to a plot to assassinate a detective looking into his alleged murder case, James Craig is facing two more counts. He is charged with Angela’s murder.

March 6, 2023: After consuming shakes prepared by James, Angela reportedly becomes unwell. She is admitted to the hospital by him, where she remains until March 14.

Craig attempts to get his lover to visit Colorado from March 8–10, 2023.

March 14: Angela leaves the hospital

March 15: Her illness worsens and she is readmitted.

March 18: Craig’s wife of 23 years, Angela, was declared brain dead.

March 19: Craig was detained on suspicion of murder in relation to her passing.

November 21, 2024: Defense lawyer withdraws, delaying trial.

After having a seizure on March 16, Angela’s health worsened.

Medical professionals placed her in critical care, but they were unable to determine the origin of her condition or the reason behind her decline.

On March 18, doctors declared her brain dead.

She died from cyanide and tetrahydrozoline poisoning, according to toxicology results.

According to court filings, Craig killed his wife in order to begin a new life with Karin Cain, an orthodontist who was going through a divorce.

And when Angela was sick, he allegedly made arrangements for her to fly to Colorado.

The two used loving words in their text exchanges.

A few months later, Cain made her feelings known on Good Morning America, declaring that she would never be open to a relationship with a married person.

“No plans for a future together have been made,” she claimed.

‘NO FUTURE’

Investigators discovered a string of suspected Google searches conducted by Craig and labeled Angela’s death a “heinous” murder.

Additionally, according to court records, Craig ordered potassium cyanide even though he didn’t need it to accomplish his job.

According to court filings, Craig allegedly messaged a coworker to warn her not to open the box.

According to reports, he was questioned about why he would allegedly order the poison.

A nurse was informed by Angela’s business partner, who subsequently informed the police about the package.

The death of Angela was determined to be a homicide in the summer of 2023. Exposure to poison was the cause.

Craig was accused of soliciting to tamper with physical evidence and first-degree murder.

However, according to The New York Post, police have since stated that Craig attempted to persuade a prisoner to write suicide notes.

He attempted to persuade investigators that Angela’s death was a suicide instead of a poisoning, as the toxicology findings indicated, according to police.

However, Craig’s offer was not accepted by the prisoner. They informed the police.

According to Craig’s defense team, the prisoner was not a reliable witness.

His trial was set to begin, but it has been postponed indefinitely.
