Desperate search for missing woman, 68, last seen walking along beach two weeks ago as cops release CCTV
A woman who was last seen strolling along a beach two weeks ago is still being sought after in a desperate search.
Police have made public CCTV footage of Brigid, 68, walking along the promenade close to the Beach Deck in Meads, Eastbourne, at 9:52 a.m. on January 6.
She is observed passing other walkers, one of whom is a dog walker with a big yellow dog, and perhaps stopping to talk to them.
Brigid is slender, has greying blonde hair, blue eyes, and was last spotted sporting blue trousers, blue shoes, and a red duffel coat with the hood pulled up.
Officers are worried about Brigid and are asking anyone who saw her on the day she vanished or later to come forward.
A sizable portion of Eastbourne has been searched by specially trained police, and the force has made house-to-house inquiries.
“We would like to thank the public for their support and for the information that has been provided to us thus far,” stated Detective Inspector Pippa Nicklin of Sussex Police.
“We especially want to get out to any pedestrians who might have seen or spoken with Brigid on the morning of January 6th as they were strolling down the promenade.
“Her crimson coat makes her stand out, and maybe this will bring back memories.
Our police are committed to finding Brigid and have been working nonstop on several lines of inquiry.
“We are collaborating closely with her family, giving them regular updates and support.
“In order to locate her, they have also made an appeal for information.
If you see Brigid, contact 999 right away. If you know where she is, call 101 and mention Operation Manhattan.
