DETROIT (FOX 2):A Detroit gas station’s business license has been revoked while authorities look into one of its employees’ involvement in a shooting that claimed the life of one man.
The 38-year-old man was shot by the gas station attendant after it all began with alleged stealing.
The man drew a revolver and threatened to shoot the shopkeeper when she called him out for stealing food items. After pursuing the 38-year-old, he opened fire on him.
After fleeing the scene, the victim eventually leaped onto the freeway. He later passed away from his wounds.
The clerk’s actions were deemed “reprehensible” by the police, who are seeking accountability.
“It is unacceptable that those acts are endangering this community. “That is unacceptable,” Franklin Hayes, the deputy chief, stated. “We are going to demand and assist on accountability.”
The Mobile gas station, which is next to the Lodge and off of McNichols, had previously made headlines when one of its employees closed the doors after someone attempted to leave without paying.
One of the customers was killed when the shoplifter pulled out a gun and started shooting at them. Later on, he was accused of manslaughter.

Hayes informed the victim’s family that the department would pursue a warrant against the clerk involved in the most recent shooting, but he has not yet been arraigned.
The business license for the petrol station has also been suspended by the building department.
“I will be placcarding this business and its business license is hereby suspended and this business will not be allowed to operate continually as it has in the city of Detroit,” declared the mayor.
