Detroit police arrest 34-year-old homicide suspect

(FOX 2):A 34-year-old man has been named by Detroit police as the suspect in a shooting death that occurred earlier this week.

After reportedly shooting a man in his 30s on Monday night, Craig Bergeron left the 9200 block of Kercheval Avenue.

Police declared that Bergeron had been taken into custody late on Christmas Eve, following a search that lasted almost twenty-four hours.

According to a news release, police arrived at the scene of the east side killing at approximately 8:40 p.m. When they arrived, they located the victim.

Bergeron reportedly fled in a white SUV, according to Detroit Police. The last time we saw him, he was dressed in a green jacket, black trousers, and black boots. He has shoulder-length braids.
