Two young teenagers who had been sleeping outside on a porch and used the space to rest caused anxiety among the neighbors on Detroit’s west side.
The adolescents’ wellbeing was questioned due to the freezing temperatures and snowy holiday season.
The child abuse unit of the Detroit police conducted a thorough investigation after FOX 2’s story. According to the investigation, the two kids always had access to the house and the restroom, and they preferred to sleep outside.
They slept on the porch because there was no penalty.
According to the police, the parents did everything they could to reroute their children’s course, including enrolling them in treatment.
