Detroit police release photo of suspect wanted in shooting of teen sitting in car on east side

Green Light cameras captured one of the three shooting suspects.

DETROIT (FOX 2):Regarding a non-fatal shooting, the Detroit Police Department is looking for community information.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, a 17-year-old teen boy was shot inside his vehicle near E. Warren and Buckingham.

According to police, the 17-year-old was struck by gunfire when three male suspects approached him as he was seated in his gray Chevy Malibu.

The victim was treated for his injuries at a nearby hospital after managing to escape the scene in his car.

According to Detroit police, the suspects are three young men in hooded sweatshirts. Green Light Video caught one suspect from a nearby store.
