Detroit woman charged in home invasion
DETROIT (FOX 2):In relation to Monday’s home invasion, a Detroit woman has been charged.
Authorities claim that on January 2 of this year, 26-year-old Kayla Shawn broke into the house of a 49-year-old Detroit woman on Burlingame Street.
Authorities said that before he left the scene, Shawn damaged the woman’s house. The two women were acquainted.
Following an investigation by Detroit police, Shawn was taken into custody later that same day.

Shawn was granted a $50,000 cash bond during his arraignment on January 5. A bond re-determination hearing is set for Tuesday, January 7, according to officials.
A preliminary examination is planned for January 21 and a probable cause conference on January 13.
