Dollar General reveals ’24 Days of Savings’ coming to all 20,000 stores but shoppers must check the app Sunday mornings
Shoppers will have the opportunity to take advantage of incredible discounts this December thanks to DOLLAR General’s announcement of 24 Days of Savings.
Christmas can be a very expensive time of year, and many families find it difficult to cover the expenses of hosting celebrations, buying gifts, and throwing festive parties.
The cheap store is helping individuals save money over the holidays to make things simpler for struggling shoppers.
Dollar General will begin offering daily discounts on a different highlighted item every day on Sunday, December 1.
In addition to the 6,000 goods already on sale as part of the Decked Out In Deals promotion, the savings event will last until December 24.
Emily Taylor, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at DG, stated, “We wanted to find a fun way for our customers to plan for and capture upcoming deep discounts on hot items because we’re stressed about having fewer shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.”

In addition to all the fantastic discounts currently offered in-store on electronics, appliances, gift wrapping, trees, and other items, DG is running a special holiday sale called the 24 Days of Savings.
The bargains for the next week will be revealed on Sunday mornings throughout the 24 Days of Savings through the myDG app, Dollar General’s social media accounts, the DG.com24 Days of Savings landing page, and in-store signage.
Among the discounts available are:
- $1 sale on all $3 holiday mugs
- Buy 1, Get 1 Free True Living everyday plates or bowls
- 50% off 36-inch tower speaker system
- 2 for $6 Smithfield 12 oz. bacon
All 20,000 of Dollar General’s locations in the US are offering the deals, and the merchandise is only available while supplies last.
This year, the retailer is also giving Americans a number of Thanksgiving discounts.
One of the options is a meal package that would allow folks to take advantage of the holiday at a reasonable cost.
Customers can mix and match “traditional” Thanksgiving meals to create a feast at a discounted price by using the “buy two, get one free” bundle, according to a press statement on Tuesday.
The bundle promotion will apply to ingredients used to prepare sweet potato casserole, pumpkin pie, green bean casserole, crescent rolls, and more.
Many, such as some varieties of Clover Valley canned vegetables, start at only $1 through Dollar General, and if you take advantage of the “buy two, get one free” offer, you’d get three.
