Donald Trump & Emmanuel Macron greet each other in Paris with bizarre power handshake ahead of Notre Dame reopening
A strange power handshake has been used to greet Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Trump, who is in Paris for Notre Dame’s opening, met Macron at the Elysee Palace today.
Additionally, Kensington Palace has announced that Trump will meet with Prince William to discuss the significance of the “special relationship” between the United States and the United Kingdom.
Macron had done “a wonderful job ensuring that Notre Dame has been restored to its full level of glory, and even more so,” according to a letter Trump sent after accepting the invitation. For everyone, it will be an extremely memorable day.
Since Trump defeated Democrat Kamala Harris last month, Macron, who has had a tumultuous relationship with the president, has made an effort to strengthen ties with him.
Notre Dame’s reopening following the 2019 fire will feature the ceremonial opening of the cathedral’s enormous doors, the reawakening of its organ, and the celebration of the first Mass, all attended by dozens of people.
