Donald Trump says pal Elon Musk WILL be in his cabinet in new department after Don’s election triumph left Dems reeling
DONALD Trump has given pal Elon Musk a top position in his upcoming cabinet.
The billionaire tech tycoon will lead the Department of Government Efficiency alongside prominent Republican Vivek Ramaswamy.
Trump said in a statement on Tuesday that they will “pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies”.
The Tesla CEO’s proximity to Trump is set to make him one of the most powerful people on the plant.
He has been dubbed Trump’s “shadow vice president”, and went all in to support and campaign for the former president.
Musk endorsed Trump and stumped for the Republican while on the campaign trail.
He also helped fund the Republican’s election victory through his pro-Trump political action committee America PAC.
