Donald Trump to meet Prince William & Jill Biden ahead of Notre Dame reopening on first trip since election win

Donald Trump has reached Paris and will meet with Jill Biden and Prince William at Notre Dame’s reopening ceremony.

The future US leader will commemorate the return of the 800-year-old emblem of France alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, the first lady, and the heir apparent.

Following a 2019 fire that destroyed most of the site’s history and tore through the roof, the famous cathedral has been repaired.

Just before 7 a.m., Trump, on his first international trip since winning the election, landed on a private plane at Orly airport in the south of Paris, a source told AFP.

Prior to the ceremony, the president-elect is scheduled to meet with Macron and maybe with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

Prior to the event, he will also meet with Prince William and Jill Biden, the departing first lady.

Last week, when cameras were first permitted inside the church following the reconstruction process, Macron took a tour of the fully restored structure.

Over 60 months and an astounding 600 million dollars were spent on the thorough repair.

The collapsed fan-vaulted roof and spire have been completely rebuilt as part of the work, and builders have also discovered previously hidden gems within the burning wreck.

It took over 1200 oaks from all across France to rebuild the choir and nave’s framework.
