Donald Trump’s new team is like Avengers Assemble… it’s going to be a wild ride
Some people have pointed out that President Trump’s crew resembles the X-Men in real life.
or the Star Wars Rebel Alliance. An odd collection of individuals with wildly disparate abilities.
They were all in line against the oppressive left-wing state’s automatons.
I’d rather call them The Avengers.
Among them are individuals such as Pete Hegseth, a popular author, TV personality, and veteran of the military.
Hegseth has been complaining about the military, which he knows very well, being wasteful and woke for years.

The kind of military that prioritized recruiting women for frontline duty.
It was headed by generals who thought they ought to be taught about white rage and other fantastical ideas that left-wing race-hucksters had created.
Now that he has been nominated to be Secretary of Defense, Hegseth can try to de-stigmatize the US military and put more emphasis on quality.
This will enrage a large portion of the defense establishment.
which is only one of the reasons he is such a wise choice.
The same is true of Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk, who were both named to co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency.
They were chosen by Trump to investigate ways to curb the enormous overspending in the US federal budget.
Musk believes he can cut the federal government’s annual spending of about $6 trillion by up to $2 trillion.
bringing the federal government’s spending and revenue levels into balance.
It’s a good idea, but the sight of their snouts in the trough is likely to irritate a lot of people. Good again.
However, there have been a few team appointments that have undoubtedly drawn criticism.
Some people’s eyebrows shot up higher than an Essex facelift when Trump declared he would nominate Congressman Matt Gaetz to lead the Department of Justice.
Gaetz has been the subject of an ethics investigation in the House for the past few years due to allegations that he had sex with a 17-year-old female, among other things. which, in many states, is considered underage.
Although Gaetz disputes the allegation, he is undoubtedly a man with a grudge.
Even many ardent Trump fans found the notion that he would lead the Department of Justice to be excessive.
Gaetz has now pulled back.
But Trump might still lose to another nominee.
Raised eyebrows
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s decision to halt his campaign was one of the campaign’s turning points and the point at which the Rebel Alliance truly came together.
A lifelong Democrat, he was the son of RFK and the nephew of JFK. similar to the majority of his relatives.
However, the typical stalemate at the top of the party ended his bid for the Democratic candidacy.
His attempt to run as an independent was unsuccessful since he never received close to double figures in the vote.
Even still, his announcement at the end of August that he was supporting Trump for president and suspending his campaign was a significant moment in what was predicted to be a close-run race.
It assisted in converting some hesitant supporters to the Trump side, and RFK Jr. merited recognition for both his choice and his campaigning alongside Trump.
However, Trump has nominated him for the role of Health Secretary.
RFK Jr. is an intriguing and ebullient individual.
Along with his healthy curiosity and skepticism about a variety of topics, he is also self-taught in these areas.
Since the Covid era, he has developed a particular interest in vaccines.
And in some ways, he is correct to be skeptical of what we were all told back then.
And how the limitless vaccines helped some Big Pharma.
He is not necessarily correct on everything, even though he was correct on some of it.
Furthermore, some of RFK Jr.’s health and anti-vax beliefs are not only harmful but also irritable.
Indeed, there is a concern about the US health lobby’s overreach and overvaccination.
However, polio and other preventative infections are not something that many of us particularly want to return.
The notion that a person in charge of health would hold opinions that could readily permit the spread of nearly extinct illnesses should raise serious concerns.
Once more, it’s likely too far of an appointment.
Of course, like Gaetz, RFK Jr. might not be able to make it through the nomination process.
And it’s likely that even proposing someone for such a position is Trump’s method of rewarding devotion only to have that person not be selected for the job. letting others bear the responsibility.
It serves as a reminder of the reality of Trump’s early selections.
A large number of them are exceptional.
One such instance is the tenure of Marco Rubio as Secretary of State.
Others, however, are liabilities.
Well, it’s Trump.
And nobody predicted that it wouldn’t be an exhilarating experience.
Hopefully, the appropriate choices will make the ride both exciting and safe.
A journey that safely brings the world and America home.
Give us Covid cause
The UK COVID-19 investigation continues.
It had the good fortune to hear from former Health Secretary Matt Hancock this week.
And even while this investigation may yield a number of in-depth and insightful results, one crucial topic remains unresolved.
Of fact, that is how the coronavirus initially escaped Wuhan, China.
For a while, those of us who thought it originated from a lab that experimented with these viruses were labeled conspiracy theorists. It then gained acceptance as a viewpoint.
However, shouldn’t we be able to determine if the leak was intentional or unintentional? And shouldn’t we all be guaranteed that anything like this won’t occur again?
For what reason does the Chinese Communist Party get away with it?
They either intentionally or unintentionally spread a virus that killed millions of people and trapped us in our homes.
Isn’t that also deserving of some British attention?
Waste of Cop time
Hate crimes that aren’t crimes are making headlines again.
On Remembrance Sunday, police paid journalist Allison Pearson a visit at her residence to let her know that someone had reported her tweet.
Since then, there has been righteous indignation. But where was the outrage for the thousands of other Brits, who do not have a public platform, but have also been affected by these laws?
It’s absurd to think that police should have the authority to control speech or opinions.
In recent years, numerous police departments have failed to solve a single home invasion.
A police force that looks into everything but crimes is not a police force; rather, it is the online Left’s paramilitary branch.
The next time a force tries a stunt like this, the complainants and the police themselves should be arrested . . . for wasting police time.
Israel arrest farce
THE farcical, so-called International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for the first time against the leader of a democracy.
Its British chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, has said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant should be arrested for war crimes.
He also issued an arrest warrant for two of the heads of Hamas. But the terrorists in question were killed in the last few months. It seems news travels slow to the ICC.
As it happens, Khan has reason to have sped up and pushed out these disgraceful warrants.
A couple of years ago his brother Ahmad a former Conservative MP went to prison for sexually assaulting a minor. Now it turns out Khan himself faces accusations of sexual misconduct from a colleague at the ICC.
Neither America nor Israel are signatories to this clownshow of a court. But neither should Britain be. One reason has just been demonstrated.
There is no world in which British soldiers or politicians should be hauled before an international court for doing whatever they need to do to protect the British public.
Same with America. Same with Israel.
If Netanyahu can face arrest when landing in Labour s Britain then who will be next?Tony Blair?
Careful what you wish for, Keir.
I HOLD a very strict line when donating to children s charities.
I don t give to charities that are linked to paedophiles.
Children In Need is a charity that has done a lot of good in its time. But the scandal that has led to the resignation of its chair-woman is appalling.
In her letter of resignation, Rosie Millard criticised the institutional failure that saw the charity pass on almost half a million pounds in funding to a youth charity in Scotland whose former head was convicted of child sex assaults.
James Rennie was head of LGBT Youth Scotland, a charity that is meant to support young gay and transgender people, from 2003 to 2008.
Children In Need s grants began just months after he had been given a life sentence for sexually assaulting a three-month-old baby.

Children In Need suspended its grants to the charity in May 2024 after Rosie drew attention to the case.
This scandal reveals lots of failures. But one of them is that charities like Children In Need often receive so much money that they hose it out without anywhere near enough due diligence.
