Columbus, Mississippi – In Columbus, two guys were hurt in a drive-by shooting. After being shot in the wrist and leg, two men arrived at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
The two men were allegedly just strolling down the street when four suspects wearing black ski masks opened fire on them.
In less than a day, two shootings in Columbus took place, according to CPD Public Information Officer Bryan Moore. This is the speech he gave.
A phone call regarding gunfire in the vicinity of 18th Street North and Seventh Avenue North was received by Columbus Police Department officers on May 1 at around 7:13 p.m. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, some of the public indicated the location from which the gunfire originated. In that region, police responded.
One officer observed two young people in the 800 block of 21st Street North running into a house. As soon as the officers came, they emptied the house, escorted the six minors outside, and interrogated the children regarding the gun. We asked to search the residence, and the mother of that address came and gave her consent.

With haste, they reached the hospital and safety. Shots were fired into the left hand of a juvenile and into the left leg of 19-year-old Jamarcus Wilkens.
