Driver Charged After Multi-vehicle Pile-up on US-52 in Winston-salem!
In Winston-Salem, a driver has been charged with causing a collision that included many vehicles.
A traffic collision occurred on southbound US 52 at Akron Drive on Thursday morning, just before 9 o’clock, and Winston-Salem police officers arrived at the scene.
In the collision, there were six vehicles involved: a 2005 Kenworth truck, a 1994 Chevrolet S10 Blazer, a 2016 Chevrolet Sonic, a 2010 Mazda 3, and a 2022 Ram 1500. All of the vehicles were stopped in the right lane of southbound US 52. A Freightliner from 2012 failed to slow down and collided with the back of the Blazer. The rest of the automobiles that were traveling in the right lane of southbound US 52 were involved in the chain reaction of collisions that were created by this.

Significant injuries were sustained by both the driver of the Blazer and the driver of the Sonic, who were both transported to a hospital. The police have reported that their condition has improved to a stable state. There were just minor injuries sustained by the drivers of the Kenworth truck, the Mazda, and the Ram, and they were all transported to a hospital.

United States Route 52 was closed for approximately two and a half hours in the southbound direction.
Failure to lower speed to avoid a collision is the charge that has been brought against the driver of the Freightliner.
