TikTokerSeth Godwin provided drivers whose windows were broken by flying debris with money-saving advice.
In a video, Godwin (@seth.godwin) disclosed that drivers might receive a brand-new windshield for free if the debris originated from a dump truck.
This is due to the fact that dump trucks are not shielded from liability by signs telling drivers to keep hundreds of feet back.
“The sign is there to deter people from even trying to get them to take responsibility for it, but in reality, the sign does nothing to protect them as all,” added Godwin.

One man was incensed in January after spending $6,000 on a replacement.
Marvin Shebroe said that he filed a claim with his insurance carrier to get his money back after a repair shop defrauded him by installing a recalled windshield.
But when he saw the enormous $6,108 insurance cost, he was taken aback.
He discovered that someone had falsified his initials on an authorization form, allowing the ludicrous charge, so the drama didn’t end there.

Krauch cautioned that any work referred to as a “dealer recommended service” is frequently an attempt at upselling.

“Modern vehicles typically have fuel systems that are designed to stay clean, especially with the use of high-quality gasoline that contains detergents to keep injectors free of deposits,” he stated.
Additionally, drivers should always refuse engine flushes because contemporary cars don’t require assistance in clearing up “sludge or deposits.”
“Most modern engines and oils are formulated to stay clean, and if you regularly change your oil on schedule, you shouldn t need this service,” he stated.

“Shops often upsell customers to synthetic or high-performance oils – even if the vehicle s manufacturer doesn t require them,” Krauch stated.
