Drivers can buy a car in just 20 minutes without stepping foot in a dealership thanks to new program

Thanks to an innovative new product offered by Amazon, drivers may now purchase a car in as little as 20 minutes.

Steve Harper, general sales manager at Dean TeamHyundai, described the move as “as wild as can be” because it allows customers to look for the car they want and pay for it without ever having to speak to a salesperson.

We covered the connection between Amazon and Korean automaker Hyundai back in November. According to our research, Hyundai cars will be accessible for online purchase and could be picked up or delivered from a nearby dealership.

According to FOX2, two St. Louis dealerships, including Dean Team Hyundai in Ballwin, Missouri, are providing the service in partnership with Amazon.

“Seamless” was how Harper, whose dealership sold their first car when the tech giants began their Pilot Program in November.

The car was prepared for pickup once the customer finished the application, which usually takes only 20 minutes.

Harper reported that since the program started, his dealership has had between 30 and 40 requests for new cars, but just one transaction has been finalized.

According to St. Charles Hyundai in Saint Peters, Missouri, another dealership, they have received about 20 online queries for their cars.

After completing the online application, one of St. Charles Automotive’s clients traveled from Chicago, according to Kevin Maher Jr., president.

They only went for a brief test drive at the dealership before leaving in twenty minutes.

They even provide the service of delivering an automobile to a customer’s home.

We will meet a customer at any stage of their journey, Maher stated.

95% of the process takes place online, from the comfort of your couch, and includes trade-in vehicle assessments, loan applications, and more.

Customers are becoming more eager to buy cars online, according to an Amazon representative.

Additionally, the business will offer a variety of solutions that increase the purchasing process’s openness.

Will the typical customer, however, be pleased to purchase their new car from Amazon?

Harper went on to say: Only time will tell.

It still raises some questions, but I believe it will catch on soon.

This occurs as the best car to purchase in 2025 is a Hyundai model known as a high-performance beast.

The Motor Authority recently declared that the gorgeous all-electric Ioniq 5 N, which debuted in March 2024, had the greatest attraction to fans.

The EV’s performance, including handling and acceleration, as well as its features, design, and price, were all cited by the automotive experts as decisive criteria.

Hyundai Motor North America’s senior vice president of product planning and mobility strategy, Olabisi Boyle, stated: “The Ioniq 5 N’s recognition as the Motor Authority’s ‘Best Car to Buy 2025’ is a tremendous honor.
