Eagles-Commanders TV ratings announced with NFC Championship Game viewers freefalling compared to Chiefs-Bills

The Philadelphia Eagles’ victory over the Washington Commanders was broadcast on television.

At Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles won 55–23.

The Eagles now have a chance to win Super Bowl LIX on February 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs thanks to the victory.

The encounter did not, however, attract as many spectators as the broadcasters had hoped.

The NFC Championship Game was seen by 44.2 million people on average across all Fox Sports networks.

Consequently, it was the NFL Conference title with the lowest viewership since the Buffalo vs. Chiefs game in 2021, which attracted 42.8 million people.

Additionally, it is the least watched NFC championship game since the 2020 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers.

Since 2013, this NFC Championship Game has had the third-lowest viewership on Fox.

At its climax, 50.4 million people saw the Eagles defeat the Commanders.

Compared to the championship games between the Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens and the Detroit Lions and 49ers previous year, there was a drop of over 20%.

Four of the six NFC games played in the most recent postseason were down by double digits compared to 2024.

Only three of the six AFC games have lost, though, and one of those losses was by double digits.

Following the declining trend for the NFC playoffs, Fox’s regular season saw its lowest viewership since 2021.
