Eagles fan Tyler Sabapathy, 18, dies after falling from pole in wild celebrations after team reached Super Bowl
Following his team’s NFC Championship victory, a PHILADELPHIA Eagles fan died after falling from a pole during frenzied celebrations.
In the hours following the Eagles’ victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, 18-year-old Tyler Sabapathy fell to the ground.
After the collapse, he was put on life support until passing away in the hospital on Tuesday evening.
He was attempting to remove an Eagles flag, according to witnesses who spoke to local media.
Nick Alessandro told the CBS station KYW-TV, “I guess he lost his balance and then fell.”
Sabapathy, a Canadian who was majoring in fitness and sports science at Temple University, was an avid gymnast.

In a variety of tournaments, including regional and international ones, he had earned over 100 medals.
His passing has left the college devastated.
“The loss of a promising 18-year-old man like Tyler is both tragic and traumatic,” Temple University President John Fry stated.
“No words can adequately describe it.
“And the entire Temple community mourns his passing.”
The gymnastics squad at the institution stated that Sabapathy has a “bright future” ahead of him.
“It is so tragic that we will not be able to see how he would have made his mark on the world,” stated a statement.
According to Temple University, Sabapathy’s teammates and coaches adored him.
CHAOTIC SCENES
Following the Eagles’ second Super Bowl appearance in three years, mayhem broke out in Philadelphia’s streets.
On February 9, the Eagles will travel to New Orleans to play the Kansas City Chiefs, who are led by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
A motorist struck a group of fans, injuring at least eight individuals.
“Everyone is having fun and dancing. A witness told NBC affiliate WCAU, “Then a car came down, speeding, and it hit ten people.”
At the scene, the driver—later identified as Rebekah DeShields, 26—was taken into custody.
DeShields faced numerous allegations, such as careless driving and driving without a license.
According to police, the victim’s wounds were not life-threatening.
Additionally, panic was sparked when a fan shot a gun into the air while celebrating.

Two persons were arrested for attacking officers, and others received citations for not dispersing.
