(FOX 2) EASTPOINTE, MIA man who was charged with several offenses in relation to a shooting on 9 Mile in Eastpointe made an appearance in court on Monday.
Eastpointe Police arrived at 9 Mile on Friday to look into a gunshot. Around 3:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025, the incident took place. A victim with a gunshot wound to the chest was found by the officers.

According to the authorities, the suspect—who is purportedly Shawn Davidson—came up to the victim dressed as a lady, complete with a black jacket, tight pink leggings, a pink shirt, and a wig. Following a brief exchange of words, he allegedly pulled out a revolver, shot the victim once in the chest, and then fled on foot, dodging nearby security cameras.
According to testimony given in court, Davidson’s purported disguise was unsuccessful since the victim identified him.
Davidson allegedly fired further shots when police arrived at his home to take him into custody.
Officers positioned themselves defensively and then negotiated his surrender. Without incident, the defendant and his girlfriend were taken into jail.
$2 million cash surety was the bond amount.
The next court date for Davidson is January 15.
