Elden Ring sequel asks gamers to sign up so they can jump into the game early and for free

The largest gaming event, THE Game Awards, features numerous announcements for some of the most anticipated titles.

The announcement that Elden Ring will be a series and that a new game will be released was one of the most significant revelations.

Although it is a multiplayer spin-off from the main game, Elden Ring: Nightreign is a complete sequel to the open-world soulslike.

One of the most played games ever is Elden Ring, which took home the 2022 Game of the Year award.

Given the popularity of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, players are clearly eager for more Elden Ring.

Players are being urged to sign up for Nightreign’s Network Test, which developer FromSoftware recently revealed will take place.

According to FromSoftware, the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will be able to test Nightreign’s network starting in February 2025.

It is uncertain if there will be a cap on the number of participants or if everyone can participate. Registration will open on Friday, January 10, 2025.

In any case, a lot of individuals will probably be requested to take part in the network stress test.

The network test is a preliminary verification test where the chosen testers play a section of the game before the full game launch, according to the test description.

Large-scale network load tests will be used to analyze various technical verifications of online systems.

This implies that a portion of the next game will be available for play, in which participants form teams of three to tackle various tasks.

Nightreign will include boss fights from earlier FromSoftware games, including the Dark Souls series, but the fighting system will give them a new spin.

Summoning Co-op

In Elden Ring, you have the option of playing the entire game by yourself or calling in other players to assist you with challenging bosses.

On Nightreign, however, you will constantly be playing with other players.

We’re confident that FromSoftware has a lot of tricks up its sleeve, but it’s unknown if the bosses will be remade for multiple players or if the difficulty level will increase.
