ESPN slammed over national anthem omission from Sugar Bowl live TV broadcast after SportsCenter issue
The Sugar Bowl’s presentation has drawn criticism from ESPN.
ESPN did not air the national anthem or the moment of silence during the Sugar Bowl following the terror incident on New Orleans.
ESPN’s decision to air pregame programming of the College Football Playoff game rather than the solemn moments infuriated fans.
Just down the street from the Bourbon Street attack, the Caesars Superdome hosted the Sugar Bowl.
Because it was so near, the stadium honored the attack victims before to the game.
However, because ESPN was too preoccupied dissecting the battle, fans who watched the game from home were unable to witness that tribute.
