ESPN to cancel highly-popular show in 2025 after 23 years which has been hosted by TV broadcast legends
According to reports, ESPN is discontinuing a long-running program that has been a mainstay of the network for more than 20 years.
Next year will mark the conclusion of the renowned 23-year run of the program Around the Horn, which has been hosted by TV broadcast stars.
According to The New York Post, ESPN announced on Wednesday that it would discontinue Around the Horn in the summer of 2025.
In July, The News Outlet claimed that management at the corporation were considering ending the show.
Max Kellerman was the host of Around the Horn when it started in 2002.
Prior to Pardon the Interruption, the show ran from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Tony Reali has been the show’s host since 2004.
He replaced Kellerman, who departed to anchor a program on the now-defunct Fox Sports Net.
Sportswriters compete against one other for the finest arguments and stories of the day in the Horn.
According to the article, ESPN intends to talk with Erik Rydholm, executive producer of Pardon the Interruption, about possible ideas for a new show that would air during the same time period as Around the Horn next year.
Since Reali took over as host in 2004, Rydholm has been in charge of Around the Horn.
The reason behind the alleged decision to terminate Around the Horn is unknown.

According to the Post, Pardon the Interruption and the show “have gotten great ratings throughout their tenures.”
Over the course of its 23-year history, Around the Horn has featured a number of well-known sportswriters.
Bob Ryan, Woody Paige, Mina Kimes, Tim Cowlishaw, J.A. Adande, Pablo Torre, Bomani Jones, and numerous others are on the panel.
Around the Horn will join other ESPN off-the-beaten-path sports talk shows that have been canceled, such as SportsNation, Highly Questionable, and The Jump.
Only the PTI duo of Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon, as well as the NFLLive analyst, will remain full-time ESPN employees after Around the Horn concludes.
Following the announcement that ESPN will start airing Inside the NBA in the 2025–2026 season as a result of a deal with TNT Sports and the NBA, Around the Horn has reportedly been canceled.
The program will continue to be produced by TNT Sports from its studios in Atlanta.
Kenny “The Jet” Smith, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Ernie Johnson will continue to appear on Inside the NBA.
