Federal Agent Arrests Alabama Man for Child Sex Trafficking, Extradite to New York
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man from Alabama was transported to the Finger Lakes region to face child sex trafficking allegations.
On May 15, officers and federal agents investigated Austin Pace’s Cullman, Alabama residence. The search was begun when the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office acquired information linking Pace to a child pornography investigation in Yates County.
Investigators retrieved various devices, as well as videos and photographs from social media platforms. Pace allegedly used social media to initiate an online sexual relationship with a youngster and forced her to provide him with unlawful images daily.

Pace was detained Wednesday and extradited by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with sex trafficking of a child, five counts of promoting prostitution of a person under the age of 15, compelling prostitution of a person under the age of 18, coercion, using a child under the age of 17 in a sexual performance, promoting sex performance by a minor, and first-degree obscenity.

He was arraigned on Thursday and faces a maximum term of 25 years in jail and up to 20 years on post-release supervision. He is due back in court on June 11, 2024.
