The Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters (ANCHOR) program in New Jersey is in its third year.
The program’s objective is to give direct payments to New Jersey homeowners and renters at every stage of life in order to alleviate their financial burden.
Payments last year ranged from $450 to $1,500, with $250 going to some candidates who were over 65.
Beginning in late August, about 1.5 million New Jersey taxpayers had their applications automatically submitted and mailed by the Division of Taxation of the Department of the Treasury.
